Pilot-RC Matrix 90mm Foam Jet – 6S/8S EDF & Turbine Ready

The Pilot-RC Matrix 90mm is a high-performance foam jet designed for pilots who want versatility without being locked into a single power system.

With a 1300mm wingspan and 1450mm fuselage length, the Matrix combines a compact, transport-friendly size with the presence and performance of a much larger jet.

What makes the Matrix particularly special is its multi-power capability. It can be configured for conventional 6S EDF flying, upgraded to 8S for additional speed and performance, or converted to an X45-class turbine-powered jet using the dedicated turbine conversion system.

For pilots looking for advanced aerobatic capability, the Matrix can also be equipped with an optional vector tail nozzle / 3D-Hover package.

Version Options

1. 6S PNP Version

The standard plug-and-play configuration for powerful EDF sport flying.

Includes:

• Pre-installed servos
• Electric retractable landing gear
• 90mm EDF power system
• 130A ESC with telemetry
• Reverse-brake function
• High-quality wing bags

Battery: 6S LiPo

The 6S PNP version is intended primarily for sport flying, speed and aerobatics.

Important: The rear fuselage with vector tail nozzle is not included and must be purchased separately.

2. 8S PNP Version

For pilots looking for additional speed and performance from the Matrix platform.

The standard 8S version is designed for high-speed EDF flying, but it is not intended for full 3D/hover performance.

For 3D and hovering, use the Motor Ready Version together with the dedicated 3D/Hover Package.

3. Motor Ready Version

For pilots who prefer to choose their own EDF power system.

Includes:

• Pre-installed servos
• Electric retractable landing gear
• High-quality wing bags

Does not include:

• EDF power system
• ESC

This version gives experienced pilots the freedom to install their preferred motor, EDF and ESC combination.

Optional 3D / Hover Package

For pilots who want to explore the Matrix's advanced aerobatic capabilities, Pilot-RC offers a dedicated 3D/Hover Package.

The package includes:

• Rear fuselage with vector tail nozzle
• Vector servo
• 90mm aluminium ducted fan
• 12-blade EDF
• 4075 KV1850 inner-runner motor
• Suitable for 6S–8S operation

Turbine Conversion

The Matrix 90mm can also be converted from EDF power to turbine power using the dedicated Pilot-RC Turbine Conversion Kit.

The conversion system is designed for an X45-class turbine.

The conversion kit includes:

Turbine Tail Pipe Options

Normal Tail Pipe
For conventional turbine-powered jet flying.

Vector Tail Pipe
Allows the Matrix to be upgraded for advanced aerobatics and vector-thrust flight.

An important advantage is that the vector pipe can be installed later, so customers can start with the normal turbine configuration and upgrade when required.

Weight

6S EDF flying weight: approximately 3300–3500g with 6S 5200mAh battery.

Turbine dry weight: approximately 3.5kg, without fuel.

Important 3D/Hover Warning

3D and hover flying places considerably higher demands on the motor and ESC than normal EDF flight.

The ESC temperature should be monitored carefully during operation and should remain below 140°C.

The 3D/Hover package is intended for experienced pilots and is supplied subject to the manufacturer's stated limitations and conditions.

Important Turbine Notice

The Matrix was originally developed as a foam EDF jet. Turbine operation introduces significantly higher temperatures and different loads compared with the standard EDF configuration.

The turbine conversion is therefore intended for experienced turbine pilots who understand the additional requirements and risks associated with operating a turbine-powered foam aircraft.
