KingTech K-102G5 — 10kg Class Gas Turbine for RC Jets
The KingTech K-102G5 is a high-performance RC model aircraft turbine from KingTech's G5 generation, designed for demanding applications where compact size, high thrust and reliable operation are important.
Producing up to 10kg of thrust at 15°C, the K-102G5 reaches a maximum speed of 160,000 RPM while weighing approximately 910g excluding the mounting hardware. Its 84mm diameter and 203.3mm length make it particularly suitable for RC jet aircraft where installation space and weight are important considerations.
The G5 system uses KingTech's KP500DP digital S.Bus brushless pump, providing a modern electronic fuel-delivery system for the turbine. The engine is designed to operate on Diesel, Jet A1 or kerosene and uses a 3S 11.1V LiPo battery, with KingTech specifying at least 2200mAh 35C.
The K-102G5 has a typical start time of approximately 10–15 seconds and a specified fuel consumption of around 330g/min. KingTech specifies an EGT limit of 750°C and a 25-hour maintenance cycle.
